I've been off of one drug for a month now. I was hoping that I could stay off this drug, but it looks like something needs to be done. I've been depressed more, and have had problems getting things done. I'm not so sure how much of this I can take. Its almost getting to the point of letting my instructors know because my studies are being affected. I don't know, there is some hope of being able to lose weight while trying another drug... but right now it's just a royal pain!!
Any advise?? to go back on the drug or try to switch in about 20 days?? I just don't know anymore. |

I wanted to talk too someone tonight... then chat doesn't work. Just my luck I guess.
I hate this feeling, and it's not helping that I may need to let some of my instructors know so I don't fail. I don't want to admit that things are bad, but pretending is just too hard tonight. I'm scared, alone, and wanting this to just all disappear. Not sure how much more of this I can take. |

Sounds like you need to talk to whomever is prescribing your Rx. You may need to have it adjusted or changed if you are still feeling so bad.
Perhaps you can talk to an adviser at school who can guide you as to the best way to approach your instructors or if that is necessary?

I've been kicked out from a private university before, so there is a lot of fear associated with letting instructors know whats going on.
My body is just so darn sensitive to medications... I was hoping that lifestyle changes would help... but right now idk.. I'm more scared than anything else. |

Being drug sensitive is a good thing. It makes it easier to adjust if necessary.
I agree you should always be cautious when disclosing health related information. It is private and should stay that way as much as possible. That is why I wondered about an adviser at school. You could talk to one without disclosing the exact nature of your issues, just to see what the school policies are, maybe? What lifestyle changes have you made? Are you talking food/exercise type things or hard things like moving, changing jobs? Do you have other support around you? Friends, family?

I've added in exercise 3x a week, decreased sugar intake, haven't been working but that's due to an injury (that doesn't help). As for support, not to many because of past events... trust is a big issue. I do have an instructor that already knows, but I also know that she would have that look of concern and I can't see that so close to the end of the semester. I just want to scream... maybe that would help.
