I have just been prescribed citalopram for my depression and i am concerned that it may make me feel like i did while on seroxat wich was total lack of emotion and that was worse than the depression. Its been years since i took any anti-depressant,so i guess im just wanting some feedback from anyone whose taken it.I thank you in advance for any replies .Baz

I never had that particular medication but hope it works for you...if not there are so many new medications now a days...your doctor should be able to find something that helps you!! without making you numb...

I take its close relative escitalopram (or maybe it's the same stuff) and I've not had anything like that, but people react differently to drugs anyway. Why not give it a go? If you find it has similar results to seroxat, then stop taking it and try something else citalopram

We have been on Citalopram for about 15 years,
you have to wait about 6 weeks for it to work

Please give it a fair go, before you give up !!!
