right now i am so depressed that if my life ended today i wouldn't even care. I have not been this depressed in probally since i joined this site, and actually it might even be worse now than it was then. right now i am trying to make college professors understand that i am trying my hardest and that i am not about to throw away all that I have worked for in the past 6 years. Yep I said 6 years. that is how long i have been at college and I feel like i am being asked to "give it all up and go home."
I just don't even want to deal with it.

i really don't know what to do any more.

Wait. ((((hugs)))) You said this is the first time (in a long time?) that you have felt this depressed... which means it won't stay, imo. I suspect that it is worsened because you ARE doing all you can, and yet feel it isn't enough.

I'm glad you are letting the profs know that you are having a bit of trouble right now... no, don't give it all up, but I'm sure that you don't have 6 years hanging on this one episode..but will have credit there regardless of what happens with this semester?

Breathe. Try to distract yourself from what you feel is a good option... it is not, not now. Go through the motions until you feel better. Distance yourself and do some thought blocking to the negative stuff... I think you have done well, and will again. TC!

I wish it was that easy. If I don't finish now i never will and i will have wasted money and 6years. I have been trying to distance my self, but it is hard to distance yourself from something that will affect your future. Part f the problem is that my professors are not understanding no matter how much i try to explain, they are part of the problem!

((((((((Darlene))))))))))

If your profs are giving you a hard time - is there someone else (another party) that can speak to them on your behalf? They need to be reasonable because sometimes it's more difficult to get through an education.

*Hugs* I wish I knew how to help - but I know you can do it (the education), you just need to keep at it, and hopefully things will work out for the best.

Does your college have a program called TRIO? I was just wondering because if it does you might want to check with them. They will be able to help you succeed. I hope you get feeling better soon! *hugs*

Hello I hope things are going better for you at this time. You said that you have been better, you may need to see your therapist about adjusting your medication. Winter is really bad sometimes on depression and Bipolar disorder. I hope the school is willing to adjust your schedule or classes to accomodate you at this time, since you have been in school for 6 years. There may be an advocate at the school to help you as well, since you have been a student for 6 years. I hope things work out for you soon. Take care Soidhonia

I know that life is hard sometimes but it sounds like you have been doing a pretty good job up until now.
If you can relax at all, it would help your mental state alot. Even if it's just taking a walk and letting your mind clear every day.
I wish you luck, if my life ended right now I wouldn't even care
