So, I have a tendency to get depressed for no reason, it came yesterday, and I feel better today. I’m not sad all the time, I’m really happy, well, somewhat. but when I get into those random depressions, I forget about everything except for what I’m feeling right then.

The happier I am, the more they show up. It’s almost like coming down from a high, but it’s so extreme, and so instant. It literally came in an instant yesterday; It’s not just me being sad, because there’s rarely ever a reason, and it gets really, really bad. Like, crying for literally hours and self hatred and suicidal thoughts(like seriously contemplating suicide) and then I can be happy.

Yea, it is just weird. I mean... usually I am depressed, but this seems to be happening more often

I can relate to this! For me, it's like the happier I am during the day the worse I am when the depression hits. Now I can't be happy without thinking I'm going to be depressed later.

I would like to know too. I didn't know anyone else experienced this. Now I know I am not alone.

Could it be something you are eating? I only ask because sometimes caffeine, chocolate, and things with additives can have a big impact on our bodies, more than we realize. Maybe it's something you can track?

I don't think it's bi polar or anything- from what I know (which isn't first hand) those cycles usually tend to be longer than a day or so.

Is it weather related, like S.A.D..?

Could mention to your primary care doctor.
