I don't know, I am lying here on my bed gazing at the stars and sometimes I curse the whole place. You do so much for people and yet most of the time I feel like it gets you nowhere. Yea they say thanks and all that but you get to the stage were you sometimes feel like you get taken too much for granted. Like they always expect you to be there for them or something, they take you as a sure thing, like the sun rising in the eastern sky. I mean I wonder what do I get out of life? Is there such a thing as forever happiness? You wake, you have the cup of coffee, wash, dress, engage with people god forbid and act for the day, you get home, you have a beer, kick off your boots and lay down and gasp for air for freedom and peace from all the ******** of town life and for what?? The next day it starts again. We are all just actors in the play of life, but where are my rewards?

I'm sorry and rant away.....Lord knows I do it enough....

Many people, if you give them an inch, will take a mile.

Take comfort that you're not one of them..

Well... when you put it like that, there is no point.

I hope you can find something in this life that is just for you. That brings joy to you, in of itself. Some people like music, drawing or working on their car's engine... a passion that you can feel soul deep.

Unfortunately for some of us... we will never find it. Doomed to roam forever.

But, one day, you could wake up... and there is a reason to get out of bed. Something everyone else finds mundane and ridiculous, but it makes you smile.

I have always wished for a passion that drives. I want to want something. As I have always suffered from depression and a strong sense of apathey, I don't think I will ever find that "something." I am doomed to forever... lol but who knows.. maybe tomorrow really will be a new day.

I hope you find it. Whatever it is. And hey, at least you can see the stars... it could have been overcast or raining. If nothing else, keep the rant rolling. I enjoyed it. Very Poe without the rhyming. Maybe you should start writing poetry.
Thanks for this!

Well Dylan, I can give you positiveness and optimism all day long, but you still aren't getting me believing in "forever happiness"!!!!
Still if we can get the good outweighing the bad.......
SO, have you told some of these people/anyone that you're feeling taken for granted? Some people might not reciprocate, not because they don't care, but just because they can be a bit "narrow sighted" and don't realize. But if you told them......?
But you know, if they really don't want to know after you talk to them, maybe it's time to bring some more or different people into your life. Some people who are going to route for you/be there for you a little more. Not everyone is just going to there for themselves.
And what about something for you, a passion, goals......Maybe explore a little if nothing much comes to mind? Sometimes experimentation can help?
And even just some real "you time"? Doing some real simple things you either enjoy or get something out of?
Best wishes
Alison

Don't let yourself be a doormat, my friend! I used to be one myself . . Try looking up 'toxic friends' and see if your friends have these traits- if so, get better friends who will be there for you as well and appreciate what a god person you are!
