M daughter and I left Texas yesterday to go visit relative in Tennessee. We saftely made it to Memphis and oly have 4or5 hours left to go. I've been wanting to go for the past year as relative is 84.

Now that I'm on my way I have this sense of anxiety but having to play like everything is fine. I'm tired already. And it's just the beginning of the trip..ugh. The depression is still there under neither the chit chat. It is exhausting.

Sending lots of happy thoughts and love your way. That sounds rough. I really hope you will get some reboot time. Funny how vacations can be more work than day to day life.

Oh goodness, I'm tired for you. I know it seems like empty advice from someone who isn't there, but be yourself and focus on the moment, controling your heart rate and breathing. Thinking about the "what ifs" or what is coming next, is extremely tiring.

Focus on what is in front of you. Enjoy the moment. Embrace the "come what may" of the moment.

You can get back into your comfort zone soon enough. Maybe if you can view it as an adventure rather than an expedition it will seem exciting and not a burden.

Your family loves you and wants to see you. That is a good thing. I hope you can enjoy yourself.

Hi, Gayle. Trips are exhausting. Riding in the car can give you opportunity to practice your deep breathing and visualize someplace peaceful. Hope your trip brings satisfaction to your heart.
