Hi It worked for a while for me, then another drug was added. The psychiatrist even tried doubling the dosage. In the end they changed my meds to Cymbalta and it works for me Finding the right meds can be frustrating. Keep trying and letting you doctor know what works & doesn't work. It's really the trial & error method. Be well

It worked very well for me and there were no unpleasant discontinuation (withdrawal) symptoms when it was time to come off of it.

If I ever have to go back on an antidepressant, I will request this one again.

I've been on Wellbutrin for several years and it's done a good job. It is a part of a cocktail of anti-depressant/anti-anxiety meds. It has worked well for me. I do have breakthrough depressive episodes and my medications do change, but I've stayed on Wellbutrin the entire time.

I was on it for several years. I thought it was helping (especially with my low energy level), unfortunately it ended up increasing certain "symptoms" of my depression (i.e. suicidal ideation, low appetite, migraines, etc. ).

I would simply advise, you keep vigilant. Keep a daily mood journal to be on the safe side.

Good luck. I hope you find whatever works for you!!

Hi,
Welbutrin was added to my Effexor and Lithium years into that regiment because I had no motivation, lethargy. Maybe it helped in the beginning, but to be honest I don't notice much of a difference. I don't know if it added the pounds or if it was my love of fattening food. Live everyone said, finding the right medication is trial and error. Give it a try, keep a journal of how you feel and keep in contact with your doctor. Good luck!

I actually was just put on this a little over two weeks ago but I will have to call my doctor in the morning and ask to come in and see her about getting off it, since I'm experiencing negative side effects. It's making me feel weak and dizzy and I'm getting a lot of headaches, too. I'm also having increasing thoughts of the S-word although I don't know if that's from the medication or just because my depression in general is worsening.

But, just because it's not working for me, doesn't mean it won't work for you. I wish you good luck with it.

I take it since two months ago, and I have no idea if it's working...big help heim?
But I did experience a big loss of apetite in the first weeks. And after that I have been feeling some strange muscle contractions in all my body, that are probably due to it.

I've been on Wellbutrin for 20 years now. It's one of 2 anti-d's I take. It helps, more for energy than mood but helps mood a bit too. I'm currently on 425mg XL. If the Wellbutrin doesn't work for you just keep trying. It took me nearly 7 years to find the ideal combination. Good luck to you.

I have been on it for a month, and I notice a little bit of difference, but not much. I guess I need to give it a little more time.
