Ever since I started taking it, my anxiety has returned. I was doing so well last year on the brand name. Seeing pdoc soon, will ask what to do.

Good question...when I first took Lexapro, it was brand-name, and it worked well. I was on generic last time, and had a terrible time with debilitating anxiety, so much so that I stopped taking it.

Anxiety, insomnia, depression are all back. Missed a day of work. Behind in everything I need to get done. At least I live with someone who understands my depression--my mom. She is bipolar. We are open about how we feel and don't deny things like our family did in the past.

After stopping esticalopram, I started generic effexor - that worked a little - now, I'm not on any medication. I don't have side-effects. I'm neither depressed nor suicidal - I am however, in a perpetual holding pattern of "stressed out-ness", and that is largely related to my lack of work in a profession that I enjoy...such is life with depression. One year ago, I was told by my very understanding wife, "it's so good to have the old you back"...in the months that have elapsed, I quit a job and have found myself back in the snare of depression...
