So I was looking around for a new alarm app randomly yesterday, and I tried one out that supposedly helps you sleep or relax by emitting alpha waves and beta waves and such. I think I might have felt a bit more relaxed today. Do you think using something like this regularly might help depression and anxiety?

I'm a septical person, so I don't believe those kind of things to truly work. I think they have some kind of placebo effect.
And placebo can also treat depression in some people. So for me is not a good method, but who knows if it will work on you.

I have tried Dr. Jeffrey Thompson's brainwave entrainment for sleep (delta waves) and I think it helps me sleep. Also, Dr. Thompson's CDs on other brainwaves help me with meditation. I have tried several of the binaural beats brainwave uploads on YouTube that were not effective.
