Hi all
I am feeling rather rubbish right now everything is going really crappy for me right now and really and I don't know how long I can stand it.

I am currently unemployed due to various things happening in my life, I kind of have peak relief type job but I wouldn't classify it as real work. I am also currently in the final stages of my access course and I am hoping to go to university this year.

The last few months everything has gone totally wrong, my depression as lead me to fall behind with everything and as result I am behind in in college. At the same time I am in application system for nursing and sadly I have received five rejections due to fact my maths is ****. This has lead me to become more depressed and now I feel so rubbish 24/7.

I know if I don't do it this year I will miss another years intake (3rd in a row) and I only want a job that will last temporary kind of weekend job. (Quit when something better is available)
Obviously I have no interest in admin unless and it will d

Hello Nightworld: Welcome to PC! It sounds like you have allot of things going on right now, & not allot of energy to deal with it all. Depression does that to us. It just saps all of our strength just when we need it the most! It's good that you've found your way to PsychCentral. There are many fine people here who have experienced the same types of things you're going through. They will be happy to provide you with support & suggestions, as well. The more you post on PC, & reply to others' posts, the more you'll get out of the time you spend here. Plus, writing helps... so keep posting!

I am in a similar spot right now. If it is concrete advice you want, here are the things that keep me functioning:

Lists, make them, check off every item as you do it. Highest priority (as in my life will disintegrate if this does not get done) first and then so on. Be methodical no emothions just get it done.

A good therapist and medication. Some people can't stand it but it works for me

A support sytstem: It does not have to be a large group, one person or two, preferably someone who knows what mental illness is like.

Hope this helps

Lists I make them religiously and they help me but now I am finding that I easily get too bogged down. Right now I can barely manage to get out of bed as I have been let down so many times so I am like screw world screw life, I am going to the only place I feel happy, safe and alive.

I have also had enough of the lack of help I am getting from people to deal with being unemployed, they all seem to think that once if have found a job I will happy and i will back to normal. But I know that isn't always the case for me, I never feel satisfied and I can't seem to stick in one thing, I have to move on.
