I don't know what is going on with me... I have been extremely depressed and suicidal, but then, 3 days ago I was super hyper, and yesterday I was feeling strangely happy (which has been very foreign to me as of late). I started St. John's wort 3 days ago (after being off anti-deps for 3 weeks). I don't get what is going on with me... Often feel like I'm not in control of my own brain.

ouch, sorry you are on this roller coaster.

Did you wean off the anti-deps? It could be a form of withdrawal from them. I'm not familiar with St John's wort. Could be it is not able to 'replace' the anti-depressants and so you are having some withdrawals; or, it could be a reaction to the St Johns wort.

I hope you continue to feel happy!!

Did you slowly taper the ADs? I was off mine for two days and felt dizzy and cried a lot in the evening after talking to psychiatrist for new prescription. My current doctor said the withdrawal symptoms are flu like symptoms. Perhaps the St. John's wort is working for you. I hope you get things figured out because it is hard to function when your mind tries to go its own way.

Yes, you need to taper off the meds slowly. If you don't, that could be dangerous.
I'm so glad that you are up again, though. Whatever it was, I hope it stays away that is making you sad.

Best of luck to you!!
Hugs,
Boopers
