for so long I have acted like nothing was ever wrong. I am a tough old bird and I can handle it. I am a depressed person. there I said it. I can't do the things I use to do due to physical limitations. I can't earn a living anymore, I can't clean my house anymore, I can hardly stand up long enough to cook a meal anymore, the list goes on and on. I even fooled a therapist when I had to go for my psych eval for my workman's comp. she put in her report she was surprised I was not depressed with all that is going on with me. Well duh! I have fooled most everyone I know. I am going on meds though and hopefully it will help somewhat. never have before but maybe this time right? anyway I am depressed due to circumstances that I can't control so we will see. thanks for letting me get this off my chest.

Oh, hon... It's a big step admitting that you're depressed... the first step in getting the proper help.
I was just the same before I totaly went to pieces. I'm still putting on a faked smile very often.
You're inner-self is in need for some good feeding. I would suggest that you seek a therapist and tell that person about how you're really feeling inside. Continue to open up to us here on PC. We care about you and our ears are yours!

I hope the meds are beneficial for you. I try to hide being depressed, but I'm not so good at it myself.

(((((((((be)))))))) Actually, there are a lot of research studies showing that people who win the lottery end up just as depressed, if not moreso, AFTER they win the lottery.

yeah, hun I know what ya mean too....its how we learn to cope.. putting on the mask every day.... mine is crumbling under the pressure of chronic painand fatigue....
