I take 300-500 to help me sleep at night.but recent have been takin 200-300 around 11am to get back to sleep as I don't want to be awake due to depression anxiety and agitation. Is this a form of addiction or just a crouch to get me thru these hard times before I see my phyc in a weeks time?

It couldn't be addiction because Seroquel is not addictive. Seroquel is an anti-psychotic, not a narcotic. Only narcotics are addictive.

You have probably been using Seroquel to deal with other problems that it wasn't prescribed for. I am not saying you don't need Seroquel; that is up to your doc, but you may need to take another med or meds in addition to it. Just tell your doc how you have been taking it, and why. He/She will know what to do.

Anything can become habit forming if you use it in a way that becomes harmful. Maybe your doc can prescribe an anti-depressant for you to take with the Seroquel. You shouldn't be taking more Seroquel so you can sleep through your depression : ( I'm sorry you feel like that. I have been really depressed too. I hope you feel better < 3 xoxo

Yeah I know it's not good but I'm treatment resistant and waiting for a phyc to prescribe me stimulants as a last ditch effort. It's either this Habit while I'm waiting to see phyc or suicidal thoughts/suicide

I don't think it is addiction. I have done the same thing many times because I just want to sleep when depressed and when I can't get to sleep I will take zzzquil or something just to escape into sleep.

Maybe it is being addicted to sleep but I don't think so. It is how we cope sometimes when it is real bad.
