I know I do, in 24 hours I slept about 18 hours. And still drained.

Sometimes

I bounce back and forth.

Some days when I'm depressed, I could sleep all day. Other time when I'm depressed, I spend all night trying to get some sleep. Either way, I understand feeling drained.

I know how you feel... yesterday I went to sleep 1am and woke up at 6am when my cat jumped on me, so obviously I was really tired and got back to sleep at 9am... woke up again at 3pm which already sums 11 hours, that would be fine if I wasn't so tired at 5pm... Then I forced myself to watch some movies and the World Cup game just to stay awake.
Now it's 1:30am and I reached my limit, going back to sleep... also because if I stay awake any longer I'll start to get the real drepressing thoughts. so, see you later

Yes, and I feel very much better for it, and try and grab a nap whenever I need to. In fact lack of sleep is potent trigger for my depression (it hugely depletes my resilience), which is a pity because my benign prostatic hyperplasia (it's an age thing) means I have to visit the bathroom in the middle of the night! Happily the medication for this is reasonably effective, but all the same...

I'm tired all the time, but I can't sleep. I'm unconscious for about 6-7 hours per day, but wake up feeling just as tired.

Yes, I sleep more when I am depressed. I also sleep more when my ptsd kicks in on anniversary of BF's death.

Sometimes I sleep a ridiculous amount of time and sometimes it's impossible for me to get any sleep.

I definitely sleep more when depressed. 18 out of 24 hours is not unusual for me. Often it gets all whacked up and I can't sleep at night but can sleep all day.

The oversleeping has been a new thing for me. Normally, it is insomnia...
