Things were going fairly well for a change at work and then today everything was horrible. The junior manager who used to be my friend got angry over something trivial, and went to the office manager to gripe. Then I got in trouble and got chewed out by the office manager for something that I did not know was supposed to be my responsibility alone.

I have had to fight back the tears all day and I am letting them loose now. I have applied for several jobs but have only received rejection letters in return. What is wrong with me? I try so hard to be a good person. I try to do a good job at the office and work very hard. I go in early and work late to get all the important items done. Why does everything have to go so badly for me?

Last night I had a dream that I was caught in a tornado and was killed. In the dream I saw the tornado coming but could not get away from it. Maybe the dream was a warning of some sort. Every time I think things are going to improve I get set backwards. I don't know what to do anymore.

I can understand your work 'episode'.
An employee of mine was doing her work, answering emails and helping clients and then the CEO came into the office (manager notified him) and accused her of not responding to a clients email for a week. That's not excusable, I understand that she was doing her work and not playing around yet on the other hand managers can be uptight and nervous about unrelated issues and they let it out on employees. No excuse but it's the way most work forces operate.

Hope you have a better day tomorrow and you get some slack.
Thanks for this!

Too often good, hard work is not recognized until it is lost.

May the "death" in the dream be simply an ending, and may the tornado be a means of transport to a better situation.

I would say the dream is more a reflection of how you're feeling than an omen of things to come. I dream a lot about tornados when I'm scared and feel like I have no control. It doesn't sound like anything is wrong with you, you're just working with grumpy people Hope tomorrow will go better!

I feel like I have no control over anything anymore. I don't even want to go to work tomorrow but I have to. Now I will have to get to work earlier because I have been given extra work to do in the morning and it is my head on a platter if I don't get it done. All I can do is my best. My best is just not good enough.

I can definitely understand having your best not be good enough. I'm having that problem for a while already at work.
Good luck to you. Hope you wake up tomorrow morning with renewed energy to work

One day at a time, don't spend today thinking about tomorrow or yesterday. Job hunting is hard and these days it can take a long time to find a job. Keep on applying for jobs, eventually the right opportunity will come along.
