Since becoming mentally ill, I have learned to beware of brown envelopes as they can change your life for better or for worse.
Today was no exception, I opened the dreaded letter to find that I am not deemed fit to drive. This comes as no surprise although I still think I am fit to drive. I have contact with mental health services and they have humoured me. Dont they realise I know they were doing this? I have been driving since the age of 17yrs and had a no claims re the insurance. It was a 5 page letter and page 4 of 5 was missing which sets out the reasons as to why you cannot drive. I dont know what to feel. I cannot be angry with the mental health professionals as they were doing what they thought was best. It still makes me angry though. Is there anyonelse who is unable to drive because the mental health professionals have decided this to be so? Best wishes, W8 The letter |

Hello, whimsical8. Is there a process for getting the whole letter? If you believe you have been wronged, is there a process to challenge the conclusions of the mental health professionals?
How will the inability to drive impact you? Will your life be less meaningful because of the ban? I wish you well. |

I think that anger in this situation makes a lot of sense. You have every right to be angry. Do you know the reasons why this decision was made? Maybe that will help your understanding and closure in a way.
