We just moved to a new state a few weeks ago and ergo I have lost my entire support system. I have been trying to put myself out there. Meet new people and establish a new tribe.

So far it is not going well. I feel like the new kid in high school again. I see the social politics, and I find them exhausting.

Does it ever get easier? I have done this 9 times so far in my life and I am tired.

9 times is a lot. I don't blame you for feeling tired. But people will come and it WILL get better.

Moving and moving and moving again... I remember those days.
It's hard to rebuild things from scratch even if you've become accustomed to it.

Wishing you a growing sense of comfort in your new environment.

Meetup.com is a great place to meet people with similar interests. It's not a dating website. It's a website where social groups advertise their presence. The groups are generally based on a particular interest like, fitness, dining out, movies, kayaking, knitting, dancing. There may be a $5 membership fee or not. Otherwise, it doesn't cost anything to be a part of the group other than your personal expenses for movie tickets, fitness equipment, meals, whatever. You can search for groups based on interest or location. You can see past meetups of the group and what they have coming up.

It's so hard to make friends as adults. We work and then go home exhausted. We have errands to run and chores to do. It's hard to find the time to go out and meet people. And then where do you go to find those people you might be interested in? As kids in school, it was so much easier to make friends since so many other kids were right there. As adults, we have to go out and find people. That's why I like Meetup. It takes the guesswork out of where to find people who share my interests. All I have to do is show up.
Thanks for this!
