I don't know you, but from what you say you fit the criteria.

No, I missed that, so thanks for bringing it to my attention. I'm checking it out now. It's a little frustrating because it doesn't seem to be very accommodating of physical disabilities (it keeps telling me to take a walk around the block or do jumping jacks), but maybe once I figure it out, it'll be more relevant.

I'm on the waiting list, but they told me it could be a very long wait, just like housing, and they don't have any resources available to people on the waiting list.

It's a phone application, correct (from what I read)?

I'm thinking that they take the information, then need time to review it so that they can prioritize. So everyone is probably "on the waiting list" until they check all of the info.

So keep the faith.

No, it's been approved. They just have too many people needing service and not enough providers, so you're basically on the wait list until...I don't know, somebody else no longer needs services or they have money to hire more staff, I guess.

Okay, you're in a difficult situation.
Could any of your friends/acquaintances take you to food bank (or bring you food from there, if you wrote a list of what you can and can't eat)? Or would this be too embarassing/difficult to ask or something like that?

Sorry to hear you didn't get the job. Did you check for any other postings for people with your skills? Idealist.org has many postings for NGOs, I'm sure many would appreciate your skills! Some can be done remotely too!

How much do you need to stay alive and have food till the next food stamps/money transfer?

PS Read the PM and answer
