I have to write down 1 good thing about myself, or something I like about myself, everyday. It was easy the first day, and by the end of the first week it was a major struggle. I've got things like "I make a good cup of coffee" and "I like my hair", to "I'm a good dog mom" and "I'm good at washing dishes". I'm on week two and now I'm 3 days behind.
I realize this is a good exercise for me and I will learn from it, but it's so damn hard right now!
Anyone else have to do this for therapy? Looking for ideas!

I have a horrible self image, but I think I'm just being a realist.

I have had to do it before but not therapy. Kind of an AA thing. Like making a gratitude list. While your at it list one thing each day you are grateful for....lol

You are a kind person
You care about others
You are honest
You are trustworthy
You are grateful for your dog
Thank god for good coffee
You are grateful for a roof over your head

Doesn't matter how big or how small. With things you like about yourself try to focus on internal things like values etc.

Gratitude it can be, I am grateful I have dry socks.

SS and Zin: Thanks for your ideas! Very helpful to get another perspective to get me out of my "tunnel vision".
