Hey Skinned,
I just saw your post also let me tell you my experiences. I am not sure it will help or not. I have been on Pristiq for about year and 8 months. When I first started the drug I was only on 50mg and truly thought it was a wonder drug because I felt so good actually stopped therapy for 4 months (jumped the gun on that). Then the effects started to wear off and started getting back to my old self. Next I bumped up to 100mg like you it took a little of the depression and anxiety away. Not great but better. Just so you know I am on other drugs also to help with everything. About a month ago I started another drug called Lamcital it has helped but did not get off Pristiq you can see my full list in my signature. I really did not want to be taking another drug but I think it is the nature of the beast (mental health issues). The one thing I do know is make sure if you do get off that you do it with a professional guidance because getting off any mental health medication abruptly can very dangerous (likes of side effects) Take care of yourself...

Dear Skinned,

If you want to get off meds, discuss it with your doctor first and do it slowly if you're going to do it.

Personally, I think that meds are the LAST thing you should try if you are depressed. You can find what I think the best plan is here

As to whether you want to get off your meds, you might want to look at these two links

Negative Effects of Antidepressants | Mad in America

concerning the adverse long term outcomes for people on meds.
