I'm just so miserable right now. I just started attending school again...I'm not receiving financial aid this semester so I have to use my credit card to pay for it but I don't have enough. I texted my brother about it while walking to the bus stop...he said he'll pay for the other half with his tax return but I have to get a job and pay him and stop using everything as an excuse. I know I will be completely miserable if I start working with my social anxiety but I have no other options with me and my family having financial problems... I started feeling overwhelmed with everything and started breaking down while walking. I had trouble breathing and started crying. I felt so embarrassed and disgusted of myself since I was walking by people in the street...all of my problems just started overwhelming in my head...there were many times I just wanted to walk into the middle of the street...

I'm finding many reasons to let go of it all. I can't find any reason right now to keep trying.

Hi, sorry to hear you are so miserable. Getting help and taking care of yourself is a high priority. If your health is suffering, it may be necessary to consider what other options are possible.

Some schools have counseling and might be able to refer you to other professionals.

Financing college is expensive. Sometimes it is necessary to work more hours and take fewer classes.

Have you talked to the finance aid officer at your college? Oftentimes you can get loans that are much better rates than credit card rates and student loans do not have to be paid back as soon as credit cards. At 18% interest a credit card can double or triple in a few years if payments are skipped and penalties occur.

What about Work Study? That can be better than getting a job.

The forums are a way to share your story and also read other people's stories and share with them as well.

Yea I know student loans are much better but I can't get one. I'm on financial aid probation and if you can't get financial aid then you can't get any loans.

I just restarted my T sessions which is through the university. They had to cancel it last time because I stopped attending and dropped out. My first session is on Wednesday. She already asked me how I felt on taking meds and recommended it during my assessment last week.

I'll have to ask my counselor on Wednesday about looking into a work study...
