so i am over at the U.A.E seeking therapy sessions for my list of depression/addiction problems

every session costs a min of 200USD not counting prescription meds..

to make matters worse..i have no insurance

i am already trying self medication using meditation/affirmations/healthy diets

is there some thing else i can do?

I found that site very helpful. It's a free online self-help cognitive behavioural therapy program.

I also read a few books that helped me get through some rough patches. I still go through them from time to time to refresh myself. There's "Self-Coaching: The Powerful Program to Beat Anxiety & Depression" by Joseph J. Luciani, as well as The Anxiety & Depression Workbook for Dummies. There's a few others, but can't remember the names off the top of my head.

Exercise and getting enough sleep can make a big improvement too.

There is an online site called 7 Cups of Tea that has "trained listeners" that I've heard good things about. They have listeners from many different countries.

It's really excellent that you are doing meditation and other things to help yourself.

In regards to your addictions, do you have 12-step groups where you live? Depending on the type of addiction, one of these might be helpful. Have you checked to see if medical help for the addictions is available? Sometimes treatment for addictions can be separate from treatment for mental health disorders.

Good luck to you. Finding resources for treatment is always a challenge.
