I had taken down that my doc wanted me to take my usual prozac with 50 mg of zoloft for oneweek, then 100 mg for two weeks w/o the prozac. Then I looked at the bottle and it said to do the 50 + prozacfor 2 weeks then the 100 mg. I had onehorrible day yesterday onthat 100 mg. Isit possible that Iwould be ok on just 50 mg? I am honestly scared to take 100 after yesterday. I was in a lot of pain and was nauseated. Anyone have a clue about this?

I wouldn't worry too much about it, make sure to talk to your doctor and he'll either say to stay on the 100mg of Zoloft or go down.... Try not to worry, it shouldn't cause that much harm, I did that before with my remeron and all my shrink told me to do is go back down to half.

Have you called your doctor?

definitely call your doctor before trying to change his prescription or have us guess. He may say to stick with it as the effects should go away after a while, or he may have you stay on the lower dose a little while longer until your body adjusts. If the side effects are really bad he may decide to try something else. definitely tell him exactly what you are experiencing.

i can tell you that the side effects usually do go away with time, your body just has to get used to the med. but you definitely want to let the doc know and get his advice, and I would not suggest making any changes on your own.

called the doc and he said to take the 50 and see how that goes. They also said I could take double the dose of tylenol pm for sleep. We'll see.

Thanks!

excellent! good luck and hope it works out well for you. give it some time and also remember that there are a lot of other options if this one doesn't work magic for you. your doc will help you find something that works for you.

atrester,

I'm glad you got this worked out with your doc, it's scary when a med has an unexpected side effect like that. I wanted to mention also to be careful with the Tylenol, it's known to be really rough on the liver if you take too much over an extended period of time. Just bein' nosey...

Have a good weekend!

Greg

Ok, that's good that you got in contact with your doctor, usually with Zoloft upping one day wont make that much of a difference, but it is different for everyone, so just gotta watch out for that.

I hope you are doing better, take care.
