My compass
seems to be broken
Wishing it could be fixed

Now it points to
no particular place
no particular way

Lost with out a working compass
How do I find my way
through this night filled forest

The darkness sorrounds me
Will it ever be light?
Why does my compass
not know what is right?

this may seem impossible---but nothing stays the same-things can get better with the right meds, doc, and therapy, your compass could be pointing you in the right direction again
so don't give up
i know it seems impossible---i have "been there" too many times to count--so i know firsthand that it does get better

New hope have changed to a therapist and will be meeting a new p-doc.

Somebody that is listing to me about possible bipolar.

I'm just so impatient I don't see the p-doc for another three weeks.

T already mentioned I probably would be helped by a mood stabilizer.

Well it's about time someone listened - thank goodness

I can't see my way with my compass yet, but at least there is a lighthouse out there now.

For me as you noticed the compass is fairly symbolic in many ways.

Recently I've been thinking about how my moods apply to a compass. North being normal - west being depressed and east being manic - south being mixed.

I sometimes switch from depress to manic through normal (north) and sometimes through mixed state (south) and vice versa.

Right now it gives me a moment of peace - it kind of starts to explain better how I feel.

Currently switched through mixed on to manic - which I thought was anxiety before - sometimes it was - other times I don't think so?

I'm going to start posting more in the bipolar section - actually include this one. Though any thoughts would be appreciated.

Hi Direction,
I love that you have this whole little compass thing worked out. I think it's kind of cool.
When I was in the thick of my depression I use to listen to Swing Out Sister "Better to Travel" and I had this whole little play worked out in my mind about my depression and it was played out in the sequence the songs were in and according to the lyrics.
When I told my family they looked at each other like they thought it was really weird. Are you looking at me like I'm weird? Hehehe! Just Kidding.
Anyway, I'm sorry if you feel like you're lost. You'll be fine though. Just keep looking to the north. Okay? My compass...

Thanks for all the comments - I've meet with my new T for the second time. He has already given an intial diagnosis of bipoar. I still need to wait until 5/7 to see the new P-doc for medication changes.

Patience is not one of those strong points...

Wait...Wait...Wait. GRRRRRRRRRRRR!
