I have depression. I have motivation problem. I procrastinate.
There's things I want to do, but I don't know why I procrastinate and procrastinate.

What should i do ?
How can I have discipline ? I seems to have none.

With depression, motivation is hard to find. When I'm most depressed I can't seem to make myself do the things that I really want to do. It's one of the symptoms of depression. I make a to do list and try to accomplish at least one thing on it a day. That leaves me feeling like I've done something but isn't so overwhelming as trying to do many things. Some days I fail, so I just start anew the next day.

The key for me was to keep trying. I have days where I don't get anything done and it makes me feel worse. It is a good feeling when you do get something done. Start with simple. Follow Gayle's advice and make a list. Include things like getting out of bed, brushing your teeth, etc. Cross them off. If you don't do anything save the list for the next day. Just keep trying.

I wrestle with the same thing to the nth degree penguinsing. A shrink would probably say its probably something to do with the way you were parented as a chick.

I know what you mean. I'm constantly struggling with your same problems. It really takes an affect on me as well since it is taking me forever to finish college and now others around me, my family, are questioning me and I can tell that they are disappointed. I've just got on new meds, Trazodone and Wellbutrin, and Wellbutrin is helping me in giving me some energy to get some things done. I still have a lot of trouble with accomplishing things and procrastinating everything or not doing it all but I suppose everything is a slow process and I have to learn to take it one step at a time.

I hope you feel better and find a way to start having energy and motivation to getting things done. My T and pdoc are constantly telling me that this is a difficult and long journey to get better and that we have to take things one day at a time. I have to learn and tell myself that constantly and I hope you can do the same because I know looking at things in a bigger perspective becomes really overwhelming and stressful which makes us more depressed.
Thanks for this!
