"gotta lot of things to change
I let the enemy turn me around
What what what do you want me to do

I've been a "Christian" - a "bad" one, for about 4 years and for the past nearly 3 years life has been impossible. I see so many wonderful people suffering, and the "evil" often do not suffer consequences .....that's not my problem but I'm TIRED OF LIFE

Listening to some lyrics

Fuzzy,
Sorry to hear that you are in so much pain. And I am guessing that your belief on a good Christian or a bad Christian are very familiar to myself.

Let me just say..... Ultimately, if you strip away all the platitudes and rituals - you will not find a single "good" Christian in Gods eyes. Because we ALL fall short. Your sin, my sin, Jeffrey Dahlmer's sin...... sin is sin. Period.

I think one of the hardest things to do in this life is to learn to forgive yourself.

Let me try to give you a real example. I am in my 40s, with one grown child and one nearly grown. Last year - my kids learned that I cheated on my wife. VERY painful stuff.

My youngest child has self-harm & ideation issues. She has done some dumb things too. So just this past week I sat down with her and asked her point blank if she is still mad at me for my "sins". She said no. I asked again, even knowing how much I messed up and how much pain I caused this family. She still said no.

THAT is grace. THAT is what you (or anyone else) can have anytime.

Now to truly make a hypocrite out of myself....... I can not express how much I wish I was standing before God at this moment. Surely not because I am holy. But I am just dead tired of this awful, awful world.

Hi Fuzzy,
Thanks a lot for sharing. I feel reflected on your words. Often i see that people who do evil do not get any punishment. Probably, the only punishment they get is that sooner or later they get surrounded by people alike. They create their own little inferno by expelling all good people once loved them

Hi Fuzzy,

Sounds like you're seeing/feeling a lot of injustice out there, right now
And I certainly aren't going to dispute that but, despite the things you can't actually change, maybe you could keep focus on the good people out there too/as much???
Those wonderful people suffering, well they're still wonderful too and that can still give you faith in humanity, as well as all those other wonderful/amazing people out there.
Including a lot of people on here, and in fact including you too Fuzzy!!!
Every bit of "goodness" counts

Alison

Hi Fuzzy. I think you are a good person and a very good Christian. I bet God sees you as a good Christian and that is what is most important.

I get frustrated when I see good people suffering and bad people seem to have nice lives. It makes no sense to me. I believe the bad people get there punishment in due time. I always pray that the bad people will have a change of heart or conversion and in a few cases this happens.

I found one Biblical explanation of why bad people seem to not suffer punishment in this life in Matthews gospel chapter 13 verses 24 to 30, and verses 36 to 43. I believe God will punish the wicked based on His timing.

Know that you are a wonderful person. I don't know why we have to suffer some of the depression and difficulty, but God still loves us, even when we can't feel Him near.
