Hi. I'm a 49 year old male and was diagnosed with treatment resistant depression. My p-doc has me on several meds. The worst part of this are the mornings. I don't want to get out of bed, I don't want to go to work, I don't want to see anyone. My anxiety is sky high in the morning. Does any else have this?? Has anyone heard of treatment resistant depression??? Thanks for any information.

There is a thread here for treatment resistant depression, look above. I too have TR depression and am currently trying ECT which seems to be helping. I take many medications, but I will do anything to try and tame this beast!
Thanks for this!

Hi 8Green48,

Yep, when I had depression, mornings were often really bad.

Antidepressants often don't work for people with depression for very understandable reasons. It might be more honest to day "our treatments for depression are lousy" rather than saying "you have treatment resistant depression."

There are lots of promising safe things you can try on your own, many of which are very healthy for you anyway:

You've got nothing to lose by trying.
