I felt it last night. I feel it more when I'm by myself. It was so dark last night too and raining and snowing. Sigh

I have done well (that means OK enough) with the winter blues until Christmas. After that I have struggled with my sleep pattern. I'm sure that is part of the winter blues. I have tried and tried to take the sleep-routine back, but I have had no success with that. May be I shall try the lamp in the mornings? I feel exhausted and am afraid that I will not come up with an idea that helps.

How are people on the thread doing?

I actually have some pretty well. For Christmas, I got a daytime alarm clock. I only see it when it beeps. Maybe I need to move it closer? Anyways, I have had some done times, but overall I've actually been pretty good. It might be that I just get really stressed in the winter, which causes depression. I am unsure now, but doing okay.

I don't sleep much either. 7 hours if I'm lucky most nights. I got about 5 yesterday so...

I got back on anti-depressants in anticipation of SAD this year. Started them back in October, when I was already having some mild depression. Took them for three months at night before finding out I'm supposed to take them in the morning. So I have no idea if it's working, I've only been taking them in the morning for a couple weeks.
It's horrible. Every morning that I have to wake up before sunrise and go to work I cry. While I'm getting dressed, while I'm on the bus. I usually feel better by the time I get to work, but sometimes it hangs around as just a vague blue feeling all day.

I planned to use the lamp this morning, but couldn't find the adapter.

SAD is still affecting me, had lots of cloudy and freezing days with snow and arctic temperatures. good news though, daylight is increasing little by little. so i hold onto that.

i've managed to get by without any vitamins or special lamps. not ideal, but proud of myself for making it this far. only a little over 2 months until spring!
Thanks for this!

We have snow and sunshine here too. Cold outside. I have noticed that the sun helps a bit. Good to know that the days are becoming longer!
