I got this injection on my hip when i was just a child and that caused a massive scar tissue over the years as i grew. Since my pain grew in percentages over the year , i couldn't really gather what was happening with me, i thought its just a plastic surgery case. But now i'v had two surgeries and still getting physiotherapy daily for it ..its been there for 24 years now.
From last 4 years, I have had so many restrictions, immense pain, physical incapability to holiday properly or go out with friends, family without tension. I have to massage every one hour whenever i go out and have to wear silicone suction cups at my scar tissue but wearing it gives me pain too and without it its crazy tightness and pain as well. The pain has spread to different parts of my body. I have depression on and off. It seems like i keep crying, don't feel excited in anything. I feel no one else is able to understand me as they cannot feel my pain. I am doing everything to get better but unable to cure it. I have left my job just to get healthy again, left everything focusing only on health but still ![]() I am giving my best :-( but still... I feel i cant enjoy any moment completely..i cant get rid of this pain and disability even for a second. What should i do?? ![]() |

Are you taking any type of antidepressant medication? There are several that can help both with depression and pain. Cymbalta/duloxetine, milnacipran, desvenlafaxine, and amitriptyline are some of them.
Depression associated with chronic pain is very difficult to deal with. I had that situation about 12-15 years ago. The pain can actually cause depression on a biochemical level, plus there are lots of psychological issues surrounding living with the pain and the limitations that it brings that also contribute to the depression. I think that it's important to be kind to yourself about this. You can reach out for help (antidepressant medication, psychotherapy, talking to people here on these forums) but the severity of your chronic pain will tend to make it more difficult than it might be otherwise to deal with the depression. I know that there is psychotherapy specifically designed to help people with chronic pain. If that's something that might be available to you, it could be helpful. I don't know if you are able to do yoga, but even if it was just certain postures of hatha yoga and the breathing of pranayama, it can be helpful with pain and with learning to be "in the moment" and tolerate whatever is going on. (I feel a little silly recommending yoga to someone who lives in India! It helped me, though.) ![]() Remember. Kindness for yourself and your struggles. |

I see you are in India, Vaish. I don't know what services are available to you there. One other option besides what has already been suggested would be that, here in the U.S.A., there are chronic pain rehabilitation programs that work with people who have unremitting pain. If something such as this is available where you live, & if you can afford it, something like this might be of value to you. I wish you well...
