Awake at the witching hour (which for me is 3 AM) and feeling like the bottom of someone's shoe. I have had the flu, which really wiped me out for a few days. I have also been depressed and not sleeping for a while. First I couldn't get to sleep until 3 AM, started Melatonin, now I can get to sleep, but I'm waking up at 3 AM. And my mood is terrible. I just feel so hopeless when I wake up like this. Miserable

I know how awful that is, it's a pattern my sleep gets into too. One day you're getting woken at 3 am, and the next day you cant get to sleep until 3 am or later. I know. I hope your sleep gets better. Last night I woke at midnight and didn't go back to sleep until past 5 am.

Thank you Angelique and Fuzzybear. It's the feeling of, 'Everything is hopeless' that I wake up with that I find so horrible. If there was one word to describe what I hate most about depression, it would be the hopelessness. I did get back to sleep after an hour or so. Thanks for responding! *hugs*

I have been having that sometimes recently and it's very frightening. Try to do something that's routine, like maybe make some tea, Simone. If I do something it goes away for that moment. *hugs* and good thoughts are coming your way.

I prefer coffee, but don't want to have any for obvious reasons. Thanks so much for your support. I am working as a distraction.

I hope it helps. If it doesn't, try anything that you enjoy that captures your attention. I stare at my phone 18 hours a day lol. Lots of distraction, but I admit I'm addicted to it.

I'm addicted to my computer..lol. I do everyting on my computer - shop, bank, work, learn, etc. I might try again to get some sleep. Thanks Angelique
