i had been feeling pretty good for the past few months, but that changed last week when my therapist told me that she's moving away in 6 weeks. Having to search for a new therapist is stressful and difficult. I met with one yesterday but she didn't seem like a good fit. I kept feeling more depressed after each topic we talked about.

I am sorry to hear about this, catnip123. I would be very upset if I lost my T. Can your current T make any suggestions/referrals? I know it is hard to find someone compatible. Thinking of you & wishing you well.
Thanks for this!

Thanks. I have seen 2 therapists to see if they seem like a good fit to replace my therapist. One was not a good match at all, the other one may be ok. I'm seeing another one on Monday.

I'm sorry to hear about your T moving away. I hear you. My previous Ts were 40 minutes drive from home. I'm living in a countryside with no T available nearby. Then i'd decided to stop on my theraphy, a month ago. I quit my meds, as well. 80 minutes round drive is too much hassle for me. Right now i'm focusing on healing myself using my own ways. Hopefully it'll work. And I hope things will get better and work for you too. You'll find your matching T.

I met with a new T today who seems like a good fit for me. Very different from my current T.
