I keep waking up at 2 and 4:30 a.m. due to depression. I just needed to post. I tend to overrun my mind when I wake up, too many thoughts, feelings, grumbly stomach, elevated body hwat, rapid heart rate. no $ for therapy/ meds.

Have you tried doing the sleep hygiene stuff? Don't nap, get exercise, set a bedtime routine, only get in bed for sleep and if you wake up get up and do something relaxing until you're tired again, go to sleep at the same time every day, etc.? This is what I was told to do for disrupted sleep.

If you're waking up with elevated body heat, maybe you could try sleeping with a fan on? I've heard that keeping your bedroom cooler helps with sleep. You could also try melatonin supplements. They're OTC, and not too expensive. I used them for a long time to help me stay asleep through the night.

I am sorry you are experiencing these problems. Getting decent amounts of sleep can be very difficult with depression. I hope you feel better soon.
