i think half the battle is that so many people are ignorant of mental health and don't want to understand, they sort of make up excuses and try to turn it back on to you
like.. oh, stop pretending you hear voices, stop harming yourself, you're not depressed- so stop faking it, that kind of thing my family were great at that |

Your lazy because your adhd and your a ****tard and your behaviour is why you have problems. Yes, maybe that is it maybe it not that they don't accept me they just don't understand how I am and why I am like this. Even though they live with me. I had a friend tell me that he thinks I am looking for sympathy like I would actually give a **** if he or anyone cared about my suffering. Heck I don't even care about my suffering so why would others.

Yes empathy and understanding I guess people who have never experienced mental illness might not understand the difference. It is very hard to get empathy and understanding from mental illness because people already believe that is emotional and it has no value to anything.

I absolutely love that animation it makes me warm inside. Yes, empathy is what I wanted but why is it some hard for people to be show it towards me. Why in society being vulnerable means you're doing it for attention?

Because most people in society are not self aware and they don't attribute behaviors to mental illnesses. They just assume someone is a *****.
