My grandfather fell & broke his hip and is now in the hospital. He's in his 80s so he may not come out of the hospital again. I don't think I can handle losing him. We are real close. If he doesn't make it that might be what pushes me over the edge.

Right now try and focus on your grandfather -- if you can, go be with him. Don't think too far ahead. ((Hugs))

Hello Humpty Dumpty: Well... the Skeezyks is an older person himself. Not as old as your grandfather... but older. I was an only child born into an elderly extended family. And I spent my whole youth going to one funeral after another as each of them passed away. So I have some sense of what you're feeling.

Of course death comes to us all sooner or later. And, since your grandfather is now in his 80's, it's inevitable that he will probably go within the next few years, if not as a result of this, then from something else. Please take care of yourself during this difficult time. I send many warm hugs your way with the hope that you will be able to find deep peace within...

Right now focus on him but don't let your self care go downhill. That will help to increase your mood and try to go get some exercise. I know it's hard now but if you take care of you then you can be there for your grandpa. It's not selfish it's life.
