Heard from a friend

Some of you remember that I was worried about a friend that I hadn't heard from in several weeks... we met at a support group and he hadn't been doing well so I was worried. All I have is his email and phone number so if he isolates himself I really can't get ahold of him.

I finally heard from him a few weeks ago which was comforting but he still didn't sound too good.

I hadn't heard anything at all afterward. He hasn't been showing up at the group at all... Not answering the phone at all, not returning calls, not reading his email.

Today I finally got him on the phone. I was so glad to reach him. He doesn't sound good at all though, it sounds like he is giving up. I offered to go see him but he didn't want visitors. If I knew where he lived I would have just gone there anyway.

I just really care about him. He helped me a lot. He said he would try to come to the meeting Friday and I hope he does but I am skeptical. I wish he would just let me see him or meet him somewhere for lunch or something.

Maybe this doesn't really help... but have you tried a reverse lookup on his phone number? There's a few available online, for example under the following Google search:

OK T... Yes I've tried a bunch of those before with no success at all.

But on a whim I tried again just now and it worked! I got a phone number match and address that's a little farther away than I thought he was but still consistent with the area I thought he was in.

I don't expect to go barging in there against his will but at least now I have it in case I ever need it.

That's great that you got his address. I've never had any luck with those reverse lookups...and rarely much luck with the forward lookups! Usually I find something like "Pay us $9.95 and we'll tell you the number, but if it's the number for your friend's cousin's uncle, tough taters". I'm glad you had success!
