I haven't felt a dopamine rush in my brain, for a long time thanks to apathy; what can I do to stimulate my brain to be more sensitive to dopamine stimulation? What would help, under the circumstances?

That's good; and, just for the record, do drugs like cocaine and amphetamines stimulate a decline in pleasure neurortransmitters, or their growth?

Look; I've not experienced euphoria naturally for nearly ten years, and want to find how to experience that rush, again. I'm better emotionally, and am pushing myself harder, but seem no closer to natural euphoria.

ETA also, producing something as an art also works. I used to get a rush of euphoria evey time I wrote a song or a poem, or did a water painting. |

I've worked very hard, on a blog, this year, and was in a writer's group for a while but didn't get much of a rush, as in the past; I like to argue, but I just didn't get into it--maybe, I had a bad attitude, or something; I just wasn't feeling motivated, cutting through apathy.
There''s one frien of mine I'm on the outs with, currently, which is too bad, because around him, I feel inspired to write. If someone around here could in a similar way encourage that mindset, it would be good, but that requires me be challenged, and hoping to impress. Thing is, most audiences aren't artists, so they don't know enough to encourage an artist with the right kind of feedback stimulus. That make any kinda sense? PS: I've increased walking, this summer; I just got back from an hour-long stroll, this evening. I used to do a lot of running, and I do that a fair bit more, now, but I still feel a fair amount of internal shame, well as apathy, but it no longer debiliatates. I've ben wandering more, and explored places around my home, but apathy lingers, still. |

that said we can give suggestions of what we do for ourselves when we want to challenge ourselves, and want to ge past writers block for our selves... when I am having trouble writing things down i take a break and not try so hard, to write the hard stuff. I keep a daily journal on what I had done or am going to do that day, like a to do list. (today I want to get the picnic supplies packed up for our day at the beach, need to get more paper plates) I also write down things i found interesting that day (at the beach I saw some interesting shells and loved how the sun shone on the water) then after about a week of doing this daily I go back and reread what I have wrote. this usually gets me thinking about more to write...(I completed my goal on Wednesday of packing up the picnic supplies, I am proud of the fact that I did not forget anything. when we got to the beach we had everything that we needed. even remembered my childs favorite cup, I swear that child will be an adult with cookie monster cup in his hand, the temper tantrums if that cups not available oh my...one temper tantrum at the beach averted ![]() see what I mean sooner or later the writers block ends until it does I back off trying to get the hard stuff down and follow the motto of k.i.s.s - keep it simple sunshine (I never use the word stupid) only you can challenge yourself to discover why you are having this writers block and how to fix it for yourself. |

I guess I need to engage the whole family I about what I demand, and expect of others; I need to confront them direct, them, and I think I have some words to say to my family to clear the air, even if I am rejected. |
