3 reasons to continue to endure/put up with severe mental health issues (especially when meds do not "work" or are not tolerated)

And for me and some others, severe (and scary ) physical "stuff" as well

(Btw I wonder where many from this forum have gone )

Good question, Fuzzy!
To me, yet I want the world to be better, I would like to be able to do something useful, to make a difference, I want to connect to others ....
I think of all this when I ask myself why I should continue living, but sometimes it does not work

3 reasons:

1. My children
2. My dogs
3. Those moments when I laugh and I actually mean it.

What are the severe physical stuff that is scary? turning into a werewolf is the only thing that comes to mind == or if your my age over the hill in my 50s -- menopause (the physical stuff that is scarier than people think) is not a friend to women with mental and or emotional issues.

It's not just about hot flashes.

Whatever you face, I hope you are ok and I send my most sincere love and good thoughts your way to put positive energy into the universe for your good health and happiness.

I've missed you Fuzzy,
Unfortunately I've been having issues with my gallbladder and will be having surgery next week. So I have just been muscling through that issue.

My mom needs me.
My sister has needed me, and might again.
I have crawled out of the darkness before, even if only temporary. Looking for that next time.

When I feel I can do something good for a human being other than myself I feel better

Fuzzy I left for a little bit because I felt like I was being an annoyance to others on here. I'm trying to not post as much now.

I hope you stick around and keep posting. I too feel as though I might get annoying to others, I have been on this site when manic and maybe thew my opinion in on things when i shouldn't. I think it definitely helps though to keep talking, and sharing and identifying with others who understand. Feeling like you're alone is one of the worst aspects of struggling with mental problems.

Why? We should post freely here. Aren't we here to support each other. We should cultivate tolerance and acceptance

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.

We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.

We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone.

And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
― Marianne Williamson, A Return to Love: Reflections on the Principles of "A Course in Miracles"

As I respect everyone's choice to believe what they want to believe, please do not take any references to God as something that is.
