Why does depression tell itself it's deserved
Why does depression tell its "host" that it's "weak", "failure"
When will that toxic parasite get the **** out of good peoples lives

Why does

Good question. I honestly believe that about myself & my depression. So trying to convince me other wise is futile.

It's either not deserved or people need to learn to forgive themselves! Our self worth should not undermined by someone's abuse. (Though I know this is harder said than done.) Or if we made a mistake, it should not ruin our entire lives. The kind of person who feel's sorry for a mistake is a worthwhile person. The kind of person I want to have as my friend. And it just makes me angry to think of people who have been abused. Especially when they are young!
Depression doesn't strike because you are weak. I think it strikes people who are unfortunate. Or worry about all their mistakes. Or feel like they should have been able to control the uncontrollable. Or maybe you did one thing wrong or started a bad habit. That one mistake shouldn't make us have to suffer for the rest of our lives. And if it's a bad habit, we have to try to face it. But we all make mistakes, it is part of being human. Sometimes really bad stuff just happens (though there is no excuse for abusing someone).
