I went out tonight with some friends, but the whole thing ended up triggering me. Started with triggers tbh. How am I meant to cope with day to day triggers?
Honestly right now I want to be drunk (I'm getting there) and I know that I will end up self harming. But how am I meant to cope in these situations? I don't think i can. I have spent much of the last few years suicidal. And while I'm not suicidal right now I know that it won't take much to get me to that. I just don't know how to deal with life in a healthy way... |

Things work differently for everyone. I have to be really mindful, doesn't matter where I am. I have to use a lot of grounding techniques and such.

I have heard that facing your triggers is actually the most helpful way to become desensitized to them.

![]() ![]() ![]() (Btw is it only me who thinks that even the replies in this thread are much more helpful than what the "services" offer ![]() (How many people from the uk post how they are unable to "cope" and yet they are offered squat of value ![]() "They" only "care" in a "crisis" ... And even then the "care" is often questionable. Just MHO) Apologies for the rant ![]() ![]()
