I have this strange but familiar feeling since 2-3 days ago. I feel like I'm losing the battle, I don't know what that means.

Part of me wants to strive towards something and make something of myself, another part of me says I can't do it, Yet another part of me says it's all pointless cause nothing has any meaning, life, me, my happiness, nothing matters.

Weekends are the worst. Only thing that keeps me going is music. I think I should change what music I'm listening to when I'm in a really dark mood like this. Anyone else feels this way?

I feel like this a lot.

Do you feel like the music you listen to adds to the depressed state? If so, then by all means switch to something lighter. I find music can either bring me up or bring me down.

I suggest the same. I hardly listen to mellow music or even Ambient music (even though its supposed to be relaxing). It just brings me down. I listen to the most obnoxious pop music on Pandora. These are artists I would never really listen to but it has a upbeat and tone melody to it. So I just bop my head and go along with the nonsense!

Sometimes a little silliness is all you need to help bring you out of a funk.

Good luck and hugs!

Sometimes I feel like I'm in a sad music video or movie movie soundtrack. Most of the times, I'm like 'yeah, this music understands what I'm going through', but there are times when I think 'this might be making things worse for me'.

That seems like a very good suggestion, thank you.

As for the sinking feeling, I feel like I'm in a boxing match with depression, and I'm losing rounds on points. I've been battling depression for so long, I feel like it's slowly gaining ground.

Almost like I know, it's a losing battle.
