I have had little energy lately. Being solitary for the holidays is getting worse. I enjoy winter, but as it gets colder, everything from my waist down aches agonizingly even more. It makes it difficult to even get up and be active. I'm sure it's amplifying my depression. I'm sure I'll feel less depressed when the holidays are done. I almost always do. But hey it's getting worse every year. I hope you all enjoy your holidays with your families and loved ones.

Based on your experience, when does that start to happen for you? Do you start to feel better immediately after the holidays or does it take a week or two (or longer)?

May the holidays be more gentle to you than you expect.

I have a hard time keeping track of where exactly in the holiday cycle we are.

I can't stand the holidays either. Came to town to visit my mom for Christmas but honestly I don't even want to do that anymore. I'd rather leave and be on my own Christmas day.

It takes a few weeks after the holidays for it to improve a little. My youngest daughter's birthday is in January and it's been a long time since I spent it with her. That's the worst part of the holidays....not seeing my daughters.
