Feel very alone today. And I feel so apart from other people, it's always been like this. Sometimes just going out and seeing people being in a good mood makes me feel more alone. What do you do when you get that feeling of being different and alone?

I'm somewhat the same way. If nothing else, I sit in my apartment with the shades down and just sitting on the couch.

"it's always been like this"....
Usually, this is what we tell ourselves when we feel this way, we negate any evidence to the contrary, any time we felt good, or connected is discounted, seen as false.
It is important, even if you can't feel it, even if you need to curl up and away for a time, even if getting out and doing things feels "fake" somehow, to know it isn't "always"....nothing is always...it seems that way in the dark.....(((((((hug))))))---I withdraw for a time and then push myself back out...sometimes I make a big change (new job/go somewhere new to me, even if it is just a museum or a town I don't know....)

Thank you! Yes, right now I just feel very low, like no one cares - it's so extremely hard and I just want to disappear forever.

I feel like this a lot-for me if I can do something to get out of my head it helps. Anything strenuous-hiking is a favorite especially on a windy day. Something about the wind in my ears pulls me out of my funk-I can't hear my own negative self talk. If I cant get up the motivation for that sometimes I drag myself outside to just sit on the steps.
