My stock of meds, it's gone
![]() Over the past year or so I was taking more benzos.. just to stay alive ![]() I was hoping I would .. go .. in my sleep, maybe "magical thinking" or something.. it hasn't happened ![]() But my "safety net" which wasn't really a safety net ![]() I have no idea how to keep doing this thing called life with no meds (If I try a different med, things just get worse, extreme allergies. Apologies to anyone and all who may be tired of hearing this about meds.. I wish it would stop ![]()

Is there any way you can get more benzos? If they help somewhat and you aren't allergic hopefully a doctor might listen and prescribe some more?

![]() Through long trial and error you know only one class of meds does you any good. I would hope your health system would recognise that - they have the records - and act swiftly. ![]() ![]() ((((((( Fuzzybear )))))))

When all of the newer antihistamines were changing and going otc and stuff , I had been taking Allegra for 3 years because I was allergic or unresponsive to all the others. The insurance company then said they would not pay for Allegra, my doctor informed them it's the only one that works, they insurance said well even though he has a documented history of failure , he has to retake them all for at least three months each to show they still don't work before we will pay for Allegra. My doctor said this is horse hockey and prescribed Singulair a much more expensive patented drug , they have had no problem paying for. So they refused to,let me to continue on a medication that cost like $28 bucks, but have been happily paying for the other drug that was around $300 at the time . The system is broken in both our countries that's for damn sure . |
