Anyone else feel tired, dizzy, and unable to focus when starting Wellbutrin? I started yesterday. I woke up feeling better than usual and then took Wellbutrin, and a couple hours later felt like crap till late in the evening. Almost left work. I was tired, dizzy and unable to focus. I feel the same way today. I am assuming it's a temporary side effect but maybe not?

It might be best to contact your doctor about any concerns that you have about side effects. I've been on welbutrin for 3 years and it has helped me to feel better but I remember that I had to adjust to it. Any time the chemicals in our brain are altered, there will be noticeable changes in our feelings but most negative reactions are not dangerous and will soon pass. The benefits most often outweigh the risks. Good luck and I hope you feel better soon.
Thanks for this!

There is a bit of an adjustment period (it felt like speed the first day I took it even though it was only 150 mg per day) but after trying many doses, I found that over the longer term, it helped me at the 150 mg dose but made me manic at 300 mg. In my case, it made me focus better from day one---no tiredness from it. I also remember, that, at first, it made me very thirsty so maybe drink more water while taking it. So obviously it effects everyone different and tell your doctor but also remember that if you are on a high dose, sometimes it can be that the dosage, not the medication, is the problem.
Thanks for this!

I don't have the bottle with me but I think I'm on the 150 mg xr. I am also on a stimulant for ADHD and I know Wellbutrin is know to "work with" a stimulant so being drowsy seems weird. I called my doc but they are closed Friday and over the weekend. I had planned to keep taking it till I heard from him Monday but I'm also not sure I can really lose another productive day at work (lost Thursday and now today., have weeeknd off).

I know many antidepressants can have weird symptoms at first or even make you feel worse, but these effects are pretty crippling when I can't concentrate enough to do my job.
