Anyone else feel tired, dizzy, and unable to focus when starting Wellbutrin? I started yesterday. I woke up feeling better than usual and then took Wellbutrin, and a couple hours later felt like crap till late in the evening. Almost left work. I was tired, dizzy and unable to focus. I feel the same way today. I am assuming it's a temporary side effect but maybe not?

It might be best to contact your doctor about any concerns that you have about side effects. I've been on welbutrin for 3 years and it has helped me to feel better but I remember that I had to adjust to it. Any time the chemicals in our brain are altered, there will be noticeable changes in our feelings but most negative reactions are not dangerous and will soon pass. The benefits most often outweigh the risks. Good luck and I hope you feel better soon.

I don't have the bottle with me but I think I'm on the 150 mg xr. I am also on a stimulant for ADHD and I know Wellbutrin is know to "work with" a stimulant so being drowsy seems weird. I called my doc but they are closed Friday and over the weekend. I had planned to keep taking it till I heard from him Monday but I'm also not sure I can really lose another productive day at work (lost Thursday and now today., have weeeknd off).
I know many antidepressants can have weird symptoms at first or even make you feel worse, but these effects are pretty crippling when I can't concentrate enough to do my job. |
