"I wake up, it's a bad dream" and I'm left to recover from the nightmare. "I was fighting but I just feel too tired to be fighting". I've tried so hard for so damn long and I'm ready for this tragedy to be done. "I guess I'm not the fighting kind" because I can feel myself giving up more and more every single day. And "I wouldn't mind it, if you were by my side, but you're long gone"... and I'll never see you, again. What's the point if fighting when I fought so hard and lost you two anyway? "I'm thinking about those days" those days that will never be.

It's funny you quoted this song... There was a time in my life I listened to this song a lot. Different meanings for everyone, same words.

True. Originally, I listened to this song during each round of radiation therapy. I'm older and have changed a bit since then.
