I wish I could say more than "I'm sorry for your loss"; and I wish there's something I could do to make things better for you. I know it's been a real struggle for you. I've lost both my parents and brother many years ago. Hugs to you.
I have to say that you've been a real blessing on here to many. |

Thank you everyone. He was barely 51. I want to disappear.
It's just me and my alcoholic mother now, and I hate that. Working towards moving in with someone hopefully this year. Until then...

I am so sorry for your loss. It must be rough to go through.
When my dad died in October i thought I got through it. Had to talk a lot about this. I am starting to feel more accepting of this loss in my family. Feel free to respond to this post or send me a private message.

Thank you everyone.
It is a hard morning. I'm numb. I keep feeling like I need to cry, but when I try to I can't. His wallet is on the kitchen table. It has a picture of me in it, with his driver's license. I went to brush my teeth yesterday before going to the funeral home, and his toothbrush is in there still, as well as his deodorant and lotion. His comb is on the shelf. Went to open the closet in their bedroom to retrieve something. His hat and jacket are still hanging on the doorknobs. His candy is still sitting by his chair in the living room. My mom is drinking herself further to death and is being completely selfish. I am talking to someone, the person I mentioned earlier who I will hopefully be moving in with soon. He is the only source of comfort I have in all of this. However, my mom hates it that I talk to him, for some reason.

I don't know what I will do with myself today.
Second day without my dad. Well, it was really longer than that, He had been intubated for 8 days before that and was sedated and unconscious. I remember when they left for his appointment that Thursday, I didn't say "I love you". It wasn't on purpose. I just... it slipped my mind. They went out the door so fast. I remember telling him I hoped he would feel better; he said, "I do too. I'm so tired of being sick". I don't know if writing any of this is helping me or not. It's more like I have to do it. Last time I talked to him was on a Thursday, and he died on a Friday. I hate Thursdays and Fridays now. Funny, those used to be my favorite days. I was born on a Thursday. Not sure where I'm going with this now, so I'll just... go

My sister is already taking advantage of the situation and is once again trying to get me to move in with her and her husband out of state. I don't know how to tell her that I just have way too much going on. I already have plans to move in with someone else in the distant future.
