I have been under anesthesia twice and when I woke up; there was my old me. The old me lasted for about 3 weeks. Anyone know of this kind of treatment? Where to get it? How much it costs? I have found one place in Washington, $4000.00 a visit.

Since there is no FDA approved indication for ketamine treating deppresion there is no insurance coverage for treatment , but doctors are free to prescribe any drug "off label" for anything , so pop up ketamine infusion clinics are all the rage in major cities with Doctors using it "off label" for ridiculous outrageous sums of money, it is basicly the get rich quick scheme for ethically challenged doctors, I say that because its true and shamefull because ketamine although helps in the short term it loses effectiveness the more you use it , and we know over the long term Ketamine has dangerous adverse effects on the bladder causing intense pain, bladder wall scarring and incontinence. In studies to narrow down why ? Has shown that metabolized Ketamine is just incompatible with the cells of the bladder causing detrimental changes with each exposure .
Although thousands of researchers are attempting to narrow down the mood elevating features into a safer drug , because they see a pot of gold at the end of that rainbow ( a high priced patented drug to make huge profits off of ) .
"There Is no free lunch" ultimately if you are minutes away from suicide and have the money go for it ,but realize you need a plan b because the more you use it the less you get from it as far as mood elevation, so for short term it has the potential to be life saving, but you better be working the equation in other ways at the same time with intensive out patient therapy and other drug treatment's. Currently infusion clinics run around $3,000 to $10,000 a visit for sub anesthetic dosage ketamine treatment, which also if done wrong can leave you psychotic , hallucinating , and violent to a small or larger degree depending on your body .
Not every doctor is an anesthesiologist trained to properly use this drug, and in many pop up clinics the doctor doing it can be anything from a dermatologist to an oncologist (I am not bad mouthing any of these specialist doctors) but I am warning the doctor you get may not be the guy you want doing this, before you commit to anything ask the hard questions and shop around , done wrong it can land you in the hospital for an even more expensive bill , perfect example of what I am saying is Joan Rivers had she been in a proper ethical clinic with care providers who had proper training and equipment she would be still entertaining people with jokes instead of sending a warning from the grave .

( I hate telling people this , but nobody who lies to you is your friend or helping you in any way! )

No I have not ,it would cause a fatal allergic reaction in me , due to my genetic mutations there are a bazillion things that are known to be fatal to us with certain rare diseases that most doctors do not know because they dont specialize in rare disease, even many experts that treat me defer to my expertise because they dont even teach the disease I have in medical school , its fun to play "stump" the neurologist , I often have to "teach" them and show them were to find information about people like me, I am the only person on earth known to have my disease at the time of diagnosis there had only been 202 people on earth to have ever had what I do. I also have personal drug allergies not linked to my disease like drugs made with eggs , every SSRI & tri cyclic I have ever tried, MAOI would cause a deadly interaction with other drugs I have to take for physical health and put a hurting on my diet ( cheese, pickles, Kim chi, gochujang, sauerkraut)
So there are tons of things I know about that I can't go near .it's always fun when you learn about a drug that you used to handle at work ,saving people's lives that a shot of would put you in the morgue .

Oh I have had my moments ,its not all glitter and fun , fortunately I have had some good therapist call me out on my less then productive thinking shall we say , unfortunately chronic disease leads to depression drug and alcohol abuse and suicide ,I am a chronic disease (under pre existing condition in the dictionary it just has my picture).when I initially got diagnosed with ALS even on psych ward I demonstrated an extreme knowledge of all things lethal , they could not turn there back and blink or I was onto my next idea , once I worked that out , it's been life trying to kill me over and over, but life has also taught me not everything is about me , and be there for other people because we all face adversity and heartache from within and without, how's your pharma intake doing ? Make any peace with it yet ? We just all need to remember what they say about gravity ! (LOL)

(LOL)... What goes up, eventually must come down... Damn right about that one. Lol Anyone have ketamine therapy?
My pharma intake is doing well. Thanks for asking. Very nice of you to remember and even ask.
I have embraced it with a warm blanket of peace. I accepted it. Lucky to live in a time where science is ahead of its time. Where medicine is almost an entire panacea.
I hope that you are well, too.
