I was the quiet kid always picked on by the bullies. And if I didn't walk away silently after being beaten up ...which I usually did, I was the most evil person on the planet. Not much has changed. I'm socially naive and tired of this world where the loudest and the most manipulative trample upon others just because they can. I would be angry but I'm too tired.

I'm not worth it. This post is a waste of people's time.

It's not a waste of time, because it reminded me that I'm not alone in what I dealt with, and what I feel.

Sadly, I've been there too.

Bullies are *very* manipulative and cunning. They know how to look good in front of others. They know how to isolate a victim and make them feel weak and like it's somehow their fault. I've never truly understood what makes a person do such things. I *do* understand that these awful feelings were put upon you. I wish you could find some peace from this -- I've never really learned how to -- because I'm sure you are worth it.

I'm a quiet one also. I keep my mouth shut most of the time. But just because we are quiet doesn't mean we are powerless. We see more and understand more than the louder crowd. We have more compassion for the weak. Our strength is quiet but it's still strength.

The loud and manipulative are often their own worst enemies. The world balances. It rights itself. A bully can't hurt another person without also hurting themselves.

Our strength is that we can see through all of this. We aren't fooled or impressed by the bully, but we are also not fooled or impressed by the nameless crowd that they are trying to influence.

You can already see through it, so take the high road. Don't give it the power to keep hurting you.

I'm very quiet irl as well. Sometimes that makes you a target. I was viciously bullied for years. It does such a number on you and leaves psychological scars. Please consider seeing a therapist. You don't deserve to go through life not liking yourself and carrying around this baggage. They aren't worth it.
