I personally know how hard it is to appreciate these threads when you're in the depths.
If you can't believe that you have some wonderful thing about yourself, then accept for today that you're not terrible. You are doing what you can at this time with what has been handed to you. You are trying. Yes, you are. Because you are here, at least some part of you is reaching out. Even if it feels like you have given up. Building up the strength to try is trying. Giving yourself another day is trying. Even if you do nothing else today, getting through the day with what most people will never know is truly trying. You are amazing for that. Even the best of us could always be better in some way. But first, we have to try. And you are.
